🍝 Red Sauce Pasta Recipe

Enjoy a simple, homemade red sauce pasta made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and just the right amount of spice.


📝 Ingredients:

  • Pasta – 1 cup

  • Tomatoes 🍅 – 2

  • Garlic 🧄 – 4 cloves

  • Red Chillies 🌶 – 2 (dry or fresh)

  • Onion 🧅 – 1 (cubed)

  • Capsicum 🫑 – 1 (cubed)

  • Oil – 4 tsp (2 + 2)

  • Red sauce – 4 tsp

  • Oregano – ½ tsp

  • Chilli flakes – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Water – as needed


👩🍳 Instructions:

  1. Boil Pasta
    Boil water in a pan. Add pasta, 1 small spoon of oil, and ½ tsp salt. Cook for about 10 minutes until pasta turns slightly soft. Strain and keep aside.

  2. Boil Tomatoes for Sauce
    In another pot, boil 1 glass of water. Add 2 tomatoes, 4 garlic cloves, and 2 red chillies. Boil for 6 minutes.

  3. Prepare Red Sauce Base
    Blend the boiled tomatoes, garlic, and chillies into a smooth paste.

  4. Chop Veggies
    Cube the capsicum and onion. Keep aside.

  5. Sauté Veggies
    Heat 2 tsp oil in a kadhai. Lightly fry the onion and capsicum. Remove and keep aside.

  6. Cook Tomato-Garlic Paste
    In the same kadhai, heat another 2 tsp oil. Add the tomato-garlic-chilli paste and cook until it slightly thickens.

  7. Add Red Sauce
    Mix in 4 tsp red sauce and stir well.

  8. Seasoning
    Add ½ tsp oregano and ½ tsp chilli flakes. Cook for a minute.

  9. Combine Veggies
    Add the sautéed onion and capsicum back into the sauce.

  10. Final Toss with Pasta
    Add boiled pasta and adjust salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 2 more minutes.


✨ Serve hot and garnish with grated cheese or fresh herbs if desired. A perfect comfort meal!
